Lake Austin

Walter E. Long Lake contains wide variety of fish to catch largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, hybrid stripe bass, and sunfish are just a few of the species in the lake. Bank angling is allowed in this lake but it is advised to release the fish due to high levels of mercury. You can also go canoeing and paddle boat for a small fee. There are many places to rent boats to take to the lake and enjoy the outdoors. There is The Rowing Dock and The Texas Rowing Center these two places offer the renting of boats, canoes, paddle boats, and sculls. Both of these places offer summer camps for children or teens where they experience a fun activities out side and on the lake.
